1. Champs is only available in Singapore and China. You will need to have a valid Singapore or China store ID.
2. Make sure your mobile operating system (OS) is up to date. Installing the APP on an out of date OS may result in unexpected results.

Uninstalling the Champs APP will delete some of your word-score data. All "stars" awarded and progress will be restored when you reinstall.

If things go wrong, and you are having issues with your Champs APP, follow these steps:

Check that you have the latest version of the Champs APP.
1. Check that your mobile Operating System (OS) is up to date.
2. Turn off the device.
3. Let the device sit for one (1) minute.
4. Restart your device.
5. Tap on the Champs icon to launch.
If the above fails, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Champs APP.

Depending on your device, you can uninstall and reinstall the Champs APP to solve some stability issues. It’s also a great way to ensure that you have the latest version of our app on your device.

The steps to uninstall/reinstall will vary depending on the device you’re using to access Champs.
iPhone & iPad / Android / Fire tablet / iOS / iPadOS

Follow these steps:
1. From your Home screen, tap and hold the Champs APP until it starts wiggling and a small "X" appears in its upper-right corner. Tap the APP icon again and press Delete.
2. Turn off the device.
3. Let the device sit for one (1) minute.
4. Search for I Can Read Champs in the App Store and click on the cloud icon to reinstall.
5. Once reinstall is complete, tap Open to launch Champs.

Android (mobile)

Follow these steps:
Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All > Champs and press Uninstall.
1. Turn off the device.
2. Let the device sit for one (1) minute.
3. Turn the device back on.
4. Reinstall the Champs app from the Google Play Store.

 Fire Tablet

Follow these steps:
1. Go to More > Applications > Installed Applications > select ICR Champs > and tap Uninstall.
2. Power cycle your device by turning it off for one (1) minute.
3. Go to the Kindle Apps Store and reinstall I Can Read Champs.

Champs is a very lightweight (small size) application (APP). It has been designed to download only what you need. We do not want to fill up your device memory with things you do not need.

Required DLC means "Required DownLoadable Content".

When the APP prompts you to download files, you will need this content to move onto the next section.

In the example below, 6MB of content is needed for you to read the next book. Clicking on "Okay" will download the audio and images needed to create the book on your device.

Recommendation: Do not change devices!

Champs requires some local data on your device to calculate information like your word progress score. We recommend that you do not change devices. We do store "stars" on the server, so that information is recorded and can be restored on another device. However, please avoid changing devices if you want to get an accurate record of your progress.

If you do change the device (not recommended), you will be logged out of the other device. You cannot use the same User ID at the same time on 2 devices.

You can use your smartphone or tablet to access https://icronline.icanread.asia/moodle from any web browser.

Please make sure you have the latest version of your device operating system.

Champs is an online enabled APP. That means that when you Log In, download content, complete an activity, the APP will try to connect to our server. Sometimes, when the internet connection is poor or unreliable, you might experience the screen freezing or a blue wheel will spin on the screen. We have tried to anticipate many types of errors that occur when connecting online. In most cases an error message will pop-up.

What should I do when I cannot connect:

• First try restarting the APP.
• Try turning on and off your device Wifi connection or 4G connection. This might help to reestablish the network to the internet.
• If you are on Wifi, try to turn off your Wifi connection and connect via 4G. If you CAN connect via 4G then your Wifi connection might not be strong and reliable.

The Word Dex is your personal collection of words. Like a Pokédex, or Rolodex, the Word Dex has your collection of word cards. Each time you complete a story, the Word Dex is updated with your word mastery.

Reading Interactive Storybooks

During a reading session, you will perform sentences contained in the stories. When you make an error, the system will present either 1, 2 or 3 flashcards. These are the words that you will need to perform again.

A successful "try" may give you a new star or award you with a medal. 

Opening the Word Dex
From the Main Menu, tap on the Word Dex icon.

All of the words performed in reading a story will appear here. The list will show how many stars and medals you has been awarded.

A filter is available for you to sort words according to:
Book Title
Number of Stars
Type of Medals
